Wiring on the pause

Sometimes in the morning if I get bored or a little depressed, I drink Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola makes me feel good. It is almost five minutes reaction, so immediatly. I don't have any health issues, nothing to be worried about my drinking habits but I would rather to drink water than Coca-Cola.

I have noticed that after eating I want to have a little digestion, so then I drink Coca-Cola, just small amount is OK to me, maybe two o three sips, but anyway I finish the bottle, so I have opted for buying small containers.

I will interrupt the habit in motion with three deep breaths, it sounds so simple, and then interject a new behavior, drinking water. Let's working on it!!!



Wheel of Awareness Practice

I just knew five senses of my body, the ones who taught me on school. Nowadays with so much technology available, started to think that I just sensed two of them. With all activity in social networks I realized soon that the sense of meaningful was based on only two senses: sight & hear. If you interact in social networks or anything involved with technology, you feel connected with the world but at the same time you feel disconnected because you miss the other senses. 

Now with Wheel of Awareness, I have to get known of more senses (until eight). Before I knew of the Wheel of Awareness, I just called this senses as sensations. But now I just simply recognized them. 

I enjoyed Body Scan Meditation because I can be aware of some physical responses acting in my body, and notice the reactions in my mind. So, I could compare in the same way how emotional feelings (mental activity) can act in my body.

Now when I experiment the sensation of the seventh sense, I can notice the begining of the sensation in my body because of some emotion or thought, so then I can stop and recover my balance.

To feel the eigth sense, it has not been easy for me, maybe practicing much more or maybe with some close persons could be easier than others.



Inspirational Poster

Since the first time I started to practice YOGA, the first thing in my mind was what yoga pose I should do for my selfie!!! Then I started to look for differents poses in Pinterest in order to find the one what fits me. Of course, my natural grace and flexibility of paquiderm don't allow me a spectacular yoggi pose, so my only option left  was a nice picture background. I was thinking of one nature place or a monument, but then I saw a picture on the beach where you can see the sea behind and on front a small portion of water where you can see your pose mirrored.

This is my own inspirational pose, I haven´t taken the picture yet, but one day..........


Daily... Meditation MEME

I have been practiced daily meditation twice at day for 20 minutes each time. It feels great and somehow peaceful. Sometimes you need to deactivated the automatic mode and be aware of the little details around you, like the sounds of the birds, the crunchings of the wood furniture, your own breathe...

Something that I love during walking meditation is to feel the warmth of a sunbeam,  the awe-inspiring of nature or the aesthetics of buildings and roads. 

Always I have known that I like drinking coffee not because I want to finish to wake up or to have a boost of energy. It's because I love to feel the heat of my body while I drink it. This sensation makes feel loved and protected. In the same way, I like to take a long bath with hot water. Maybe this heat allow to awake the other senses in my body, not just sight and ear. It's something that just makes me feel good and I can be in flow meanwhile I am doing it.

As well, to meditate made me realize the moment when the feeling of the heat in my body during digestion. It feels so nice as drinking coffee. Now I can be aware of the heat in my body because of body reactions, now I know the sensations that make me feel good and the most important of all, I enjoy it.

Be awareness can convert any moment in a meaningful event.


Today I still want to know more about the body muscles, so I started with the leg muscles that I am being able to feel during walk meditation.

Getting know of Yoga

My main goal is to know some or good part of the yoga's background...

I enjoy yoga a lot... I can testify all benefits of yoga regarding well-being...

I don't know exactly why but I am not smoking since a while without even trying and also I can be aware how long it takes to feel my cravings... Maybe it is not too much I don't know yet how that could be useful but it is an important matter to me...

GOAL#1:        I would to dive deeper in history and science of yoga.
GOAL#2:        To practice YOGA three times at week.
GOAL#3:        To practice WALKING MEDITATION before YOGA class.
GOAL#4:        To meditate 20 minutes twice at day.
GOAL#5:        To understand more about the muscles I am working out.
GOAL#6:        To understand the nervous system involved with YOGA.
GOAL#7:        To keep a journal about what feels good for my well-being.
